John Polkinghorne

John Polkinghorne is a unique individual, in the sense that he sides with both science and religion. He is a physicist who studies quantum physics, while still holding to his Christian roots, which has also played a great impact on his life. He believes, that in a surprising manner, that science and religion overlap each other often. He also believes that those who practice science do not have to automatically judge God as a false being.

After reading and listening to mostly anti-religious or pro-religious beliefs, it is enlightening to hear from someone who strides in between. I agree that this method is most likely the best one; having science explain and advance on our questions, while also having religion as an explanation to things we cannot yet explain. Faith is actually a strong tool, because it gives people a drive that they might be unable to find anywhere else. With religion and science coexisting, many things can be explained and the world can be a much more hopeful place to live. Polkinghorne also believes that everything has a divine purpose.
