James Watson believes that the study of one's DNA can determine their future human behavior and personality. Being the cofounder of the double helix, his studies show him that the unique genes in a person gives them individuality, which is why everybody is different. He also gave the example of identical twins, who were both indistinguishable in every way except for their genetic makeup, and their behavior. With his studies, Watson is able to conclude that the chromosomes of a person can influence his or her personality and therefore, institute their future behavior.
I believe that people find it hard to accept that one's genetic makeup determines their human behavior for the reason that they want to believe that they have the complete power to control their own actions. With Watson's viewpoint, the authority of their behavior lies in the fate of their DNA.
