Intelligent design is essentially the religious-based counterpart to the science-based theories of evolution and natural selection. By definition, intelligent design is the belief that humans were created by a higher being, such as God. Many supporters of this belief, mainly Christians, argue that humans are much too complex to have been able to evolve from a subspecies. They believe that the only sound explanation for the complexity of human beings is intelligent design.
This article provides many fallacies about the argument for intelligent design. For one thing, the Bible is used as its main evidence. Another thing is that most of its abdicates tend to try and find errors in natural selection as a basis for argument, instead of finding evidence that proves intelligent design. Religion has always been less about facts and more about beliefs. Intelligent design is just an excuse for religion to keep up with the modernization of science. Their arguments against science and evolution are, at the most, futile.
